Helping Hands Hawaii is a multi-service non-profit with the goal of helping people help themselves. HHH helps over 30,000 individuals each year and does so through three divisions: (1) Behavioral Health Division - provides services and support to individuals suffering from severe mental illness and/or substance abuse; (2) Human Services Division - provides struggling households with basic necessities, emergency financial assistance, assistance with applying for government benefit programs such as SNAP (formerly food stamps), and school supplies; and (3) Bilingual Access Line - offers interpretation and translation services on a 24/7 basis in 20 primary languages for many different subject matter areas ( law, medical, domestic violence, victims of crime, education, etc.).
