Boozer, a 15-year-old cairn terrier, may owe his life to his owner, Victoria Dinges. When a coyote attacked Boozer, she ran outside shoeless and without weapons to scare the coyote away. "I love my dog like I do my children and he needed help," she explained. Boozer is doing well after being treated for bite wounds at our BluePearl pet hospital in Northfield, Ill. He is expected to make a full recovery. Victoria Dinges and her husband Barnaby are proud of Boozer for not backing down to the coyote. They hope Boozer's story can raise awareness to the dangers of coyotes, even in suburban areas.
