Cuero Independent School District

The Cuero ISD Education Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) organization by members of the community of Cuero to generate and distribute financial resources to the Cuero Independent School District to enrich, maintain, and expand programs needed to meet the District's stated mission of excellence in education.

Because of the Cuero ISD Education Foundation board of directors' commitment to this mission as well as the community of Cuero's generosity and support of this mission, the Foundation has awarded CISD administrators, faculty, staff, students, and graduates $749, in grants, $490,930 in scholarships, and $1,875, in special projects, for a grand total of $3,115, since 2002.

The Foundation’s board of directors' commitment to growing the Foundation's endowment as well as conservative fiscal management has led to an endowment that now approaches $4,000,000. This endowment will provide for Cuero ISD educators and students for years to come.

The Foundation’s history, although brief, is impressive due to the generosity of its donors along with the diligence and prudence of the board.
