In 1956, it moved to its present location on North Himes Avenue. Jesuit High School is one of 56 Jesuit secondary schools in the United States. It is part of the world-wide Jesuit education enterprise that includes 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the alone. Jesuit is a college preparatory school of grades 9-12 for male students of the greater Tampa Bay area. Its 40-acre campus is located in a residential section of the city of Tampa. Enrollment is limited to approximately 770 students, and the school nickname is the Tigers. The school's Strategic Plan identifies four priorities: Catholic, Jesuit Identity; Academic Excellence; Student Life and Leadership; and Enrollment at the Service of the Mission. The success of the school is supported by the progress of its approximately 8,000 graduates and by the continued presence of sons and brothers of alumni in the composition of its student body.
