This I Believe is an international non-profit organization engaging people in writing, sharing, and discussing stories of the core values that guide their daily lives. These short statements of belief are archived on our website, heard on public radio, and featured in weekly podasts. The project is based on the popular 1950s radio series of the same name hosted by Edward R. Murrow.
In reviving This I Believe, our executive producer Dan Gediman says, “The goal is not to persuade Americans to agree on the same beliefs. Rather, the hope is to encourage people to begin the much more difficult task of developing respect for beliefs different from their own."
