Hey Bernadette Cleary Drew - We are unable to respond directly to your question. Here's the information you requested; feel free to share! The Directions sculpture was commissioned from the artist in 1976 and purchased in 1977 by the Museum. It consists of 18 pieces joined together by 46 bolts and 4 interlocking slots. The extended legs have welds at the toe areas. Directions was purchased in part with funds from the National Endowment for the Arts, Elmira Urban Renewal Agency, Gannett Foundation, and a donation from Charlotte Whitney Allen in memory of her mother, Fanny Arnot Whitney.
