Welcome to Rome Volunteer Fire Department Inc. The Rome Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the citizens of Rome Township, Ohio since 1962. During that time, there have been many changes in the area in which we live and within our department. However, one thing that has never changed is that we have always been volunteer throughout all that time. We have and have had a dedicated group of folks that live in this community that are willing to sacrifice their time and their lives to help their fellow neighbors in time of need.
The Fire Department is responsible for:
Providing fire suppression and other emergency response and rescue services, including first response and medical assist;
Delivering fire prevention services including enforcement;
Providing public education services relating to fire and similar hazards;
Developing emergency response plans and procedures including emergency preparedness for the Corporation.
