WakeEd Partnership is an education non-profit formed in 1983 with the help of the local business community and the Wake County Public School System. Its work has always been about providing excellent public education for all students in every school.
We exist because Wake County's business community demands educational excellence and accountability from our public schools.
WakeEd helps the community meet that demand by serving as a vital link between Wake County’s public schools, business leaders and elected officials.
It is WakeEd’s steadfast belief that excellence in public education is a top priority in Wake County. We also believe our public schools should provide a relevant and engaging education and graduate students on time who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators, and critical thinkers.
In keeping with those goals, WakeEd is focused on developing effective educators through innovative instructional grants and professional development. We emphasize the economic impact of an excellent public school system. We provide clear, independent commentary and review of education policy issues. WakeEd also serves as a conduit to assist WCPSS in connecting business and community resources with schools.
