Our sorority was founded by six women on October 24, 1902 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Our founders are: Alfa Lloyd, Mary Collins, Anna Keen, Julia Bishop, Mabelle Minton, and Anne Simmons. Our chapter was founded at Kent State on May 15, 1948.
Every year we host events on Kent State's campus to raise money for the benefit of those who are hard of hearing & speech impaired. Through the Delta Zeta Foundation, all proceeds support the following: Gallaudet University, Sound Beginnings Program, The Starkey Hearing Foundation, and the House Ear Institute.
We are so proud of Kent State's Greek community for coming together to help us raise more than $61,000 this past year for our annual philanthropic event, Lip Sync.
