Today, Placer County Superintendent of Schools, Gayle Garbolino-Mojica wrapped up her tour of surprising both teachers and classified employees throughout the county to let them know that they have been selected as 2017 Placer County Teachers/Classified School Employees of the Year. Here are a few pictures to recap the fun! Congrats to: 2017 Placer County Classified Employees of the Year - Lisa Nunez (Lincoln High School), Janice Shaver (Placer High School - Auburn), Lisa Ennis-Panganiban (Twin Oaks Elementary - Rocklin), Ruby Wooten (Cooley Middle School - Roseville), Gi Warren (Roseville Joint Union High School District), and Robin Redmond (Sierra High School -Truckee). 2017 Placer County Teachers of the Year: Mary Berelson (Glenshire Elementary- Truckee), Stephanie Sugano (Cooley & Chilton Middle Schools - Roseville), and Dana Duncan (Antelope HIgh School)!

We got to award Stephanie Sugano, from both Cooley & Chilton Middle Schools, the 2017 Placer County Middle School Teacher of the Year award today in front of her band students. Congratulations Stephanie!

The afternoon took us to Cooley Middle School, where Ruby Wooten was awarded the 2017 Placer County Classified School Employee of the Year award in the Maintenance, Operations and Facilities category. Congrats Ruby!

Our County Superintendent, Gayle Garbolino-Mojica, stopped by the cafeteria at Lincoln High School to congratulate Lisa Nunez on being selected as 2017 Placer County Classified School Employee of the Year in the Child Nutrition category. Congrats Lisa!
