Dear Oldcastle family, Thank you for your donation of 125 Teddy Bears! Ninety percent of disasters affecting our Metro Atlanta community are home and apartment fires. In fact, the Red Cross of Georgia responds to the highest number of fires in the U.S. In 2016 alone, the Metro Atlanta Red Cross responded to 770 fire disasters. When these disasters occur the Red Cross is there to help families in need. Because of your kindness and generosity, the Red Cross will be able to provide teddy bears to children devastated by a fire disaster. The teddy bear is typically one of the first items a child receives, which brings much comfort and emotional support to aid in their healing process. Again, thank you for your continued support of the American Red Cross’ mission of providing compassionate care for those in need. Sincerely, Katie Comer Ashley Bill Miller Corporate Partnerships VP and General Counsel American Red Cross of Georgia Oldcastle
