RIMP is a non-profit organization whose goal is to improve the lives of RI Youth through mentoring. We are dedicated to the expansion of quality mentoring services for RI youth. We work with 50+ programs statewide with over 5,000 children with mentors. We are aiming to increase the number of children with mentors to 10,000 by the year 2012.
We provide extensive training for mentors and mentor program coordinators. We offer collaboration among mentoring agencies, provide volunteer referral services, statewide marketing campaigns and advocacy for mentoring.
We operate: The Feinstein Mentor Training Institute - offering high-quality trainings for mentors and mentor program coordinators.
The Men2B Program - A12-hour role model training course for men, designed to foster better communication skills between adult males and the boys and young men in their communities. This training is recommended for men in both formal and informal mentoring relationships.
The following one-to-one school-based mentoring programs: (Mentors meet for one-hour per week with students on school grounds, during school hours.)
