Lagrange Assn Library

The LaGrange Association Library provides opportunities for education, enrichment and recreation to the LaGrange community.

LaGrange Association Library was established in 1982 through the dedication, spirit and hard work of a group of community members. It opened the following year in the basement of the LaGrange Town Hall with a collection comprised of donated items. Prior to this time, LaGrange Library was a branch of the Adriance Memorial Library.

By 1988 the Library had outgrown the Town Hall and was moved by a committed group of volunteers to its current location in the Freedom Executive Park. Over the past 21 years the Library has expanded and grown in its present location. It continues to provide high-quality, customer friendly library service to the community thanks to the dedication and support of its staff and volunteers.

The LaGrange Library story began and continues to be one of the commitment, dedication and the heart and spirit of the people that support it.

LaGrange Library is a member of the Mid-Hudson Library System which is made up of 65 public libraries in Dutchess, Ulster, Putnam, Columbia and Greene counties.
