The Ballroom at Bayou Place shared Memorial Assistance Ministries (MAM)'s album.
MAM's 4th Annual Overcoming Obstacles Luncheon was a big success, despite not knowing the event's location until mere hours before the start! The event was scheduled to be held at the Ballroom at Bayou Place, one of the buildings in the theater district affected by the recent power outages. As luck would have it, power was restored at 9:00 p.m. the evening prior to the event and the luncheon took place as planned. Nearly 250 guests filled the Ballroom at Bayou Place on September 28th to MAM to honor Reverend Stuart Bates and his congregation, St. Francis Episcopal Church. Midway Companies' Chairman Brad Freels served as Keynote Speaker, and gave a very moving speech about the City of Houston's recovery after Hurricane Harvey. A delicious lunch was catered by Cordúa Catering. Presenting Sponsors, EnCap and GeoSouthern were joined by 55 other sponsors and underwriters. The event committee, led by Chairman Buz Jochetz, worked hard for months to bring in valuable sponsorships through table sales and donations. And now, after the event, we are pleased to announce their hard work paid off - the luncheon has raised just over $500,000! The funds will help over 800 families bounce back from a crisis and begin the path toward independence.
