Serving Mercer County since 1976, AWARE, is Mercer County Pennsylvania’s Center against Domestic Violence and Sexual offers a broad menu of crisis and supporting services for adult and child victims of domestic and sexual violence, as well as family and friends at no cost. AWARE services include two dedicated shelters, one on one counseling services for both current victims as well as those who are in post-crisis. Other available services include a 24-hour hotline, housing, individual/group advocacy and counseling, legal advocacy, school based and community education.
