The TCSS social media site is here to connect TCSS and parents, to provide information, and to share in the positive activities that happen throughout the system. The intent of this policy is to protect the privacy and rights of the TCSS students and staff.
Our social media page is available for all visitors to view, add comments, and share in the conversation. To that end, our seven Rules of Social Engagement (ROSE) are as follows:
1. Be nice 2. Be courteous 3. Zero tolerance for bullying 4. Respect your fellow Facebookers 5. Use language you wouldn’t mind your Kindergartener saying in church 6. Message bombing (multiple rapid posts) will be deleted 7. Any post or comment that violates this policy will be deleted
We look forward to sharing positive news and holding informative conversations, however; we will delete any comments that:
• Break the law or encourage others to do so • Contain abusive or inappropriate languages or statements. This includes remarks that contain obscenities, sexually suggestive messages, racist, homophobic or sexist comments. • Easily identify students and/or staff in a defamatory, abusive or generally negative connotation • Do not show proper consideration for other’s privacy or are considered likely to offend or provoke • Are spam, advertisements or promotions of a service or product
All postings of comments are at the discretion of the social media administrators. We will not post or share comments that negatively reference specific staff or students. It is our policy to review all comments before publishing to reduce the possibility of spam and to ensure comments adhere to our social engagement guidelines.
