Shane graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas and the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas. He has previously served as an assistant district attorney in the Harris County (Houston) District Attorney's Office, as an assistant attorney general with the Texas Attorney General's Office where he served as Chief Special Prosecutor, and as Deputy Attorney General for Criminal Justice for the State of Texas. Shane has tried well over a hundred jury trials including everything from class C misdemeanors to capital murder cases and has been Board Certified in Criminal Law since 1992.
