Founded in 1889, the Greater Boston Real Estate Board counts as its members more than 12,000 professionals engaged in all sectors of the industry. One of the local boards of the National Association of Realtors® (the largest trade association in North America), BOMA International and the National Apartment Association, GBREB is considered unique nationally due to its varied membership base. The Board also has five major divisions which are:
Building Owners and Managers Association BOMA, Boston members owner and manage all types of of commercial real estate including thousands of square feet of office space.
Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) represents 400 members of the commercial brokerage community. CBA is the largest organization of commercial brokers in Massachusetts including leasing and sales professionals. Established as a division of GBREB in 2000.
Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) . 550 members in the business of commercial real estate finance. REFA includes lending institutions and law firms. Established as a division of GBREB in 1988.
Rental Housing Association (RHA) 500 members who own and manage multifamily properties including the largest developers of rental properties in the nation. RHA includes owners and managers of over 110,000 units statewide. Established as a division of GBREB in 1953
Greater Boston Association of Realtors® (GBAR) represents over 7,000 members of the residential brokerage community. GBAR is the largest local board of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS and in New England. REALTORS® subscribe to the strict Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®
