Physical Therapy is a branch of rehabilitative medicine which is focused on reducing pain, increasing range of motion, improving strength, and assisting in return to activity and improvement in overall function. All patients are thoroughly evaluated upon their first visit. During this time, you and the Physical Therapist will discuss your history with particular emphasis on those areas that are likely to be contributing to your current condition. Hands on examination and standardized tests are used to determine the structures involved and their interrelationships. Your first visit will also include an initial treatment which may include hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercise and thermal or electric modalities as indicated for your condition.
Our goal is at the conclusion of your first session is for you to leave with a thorough understanding of your condition, your plan of care, and reasonable short and long term goals for your recovery. We strive to understand your goals and priorities, in order to design the most beneficial and relevant treatment plan possible. Conditions we treat:
