It is the purpose of CASA of Ocean County to recruit, train and supervise everday community volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children. We offer a 30 hour training session specialized to meet the reporting needs of the court system so they may then take the reporting to make better decisions for the childs well being. To move a child toward a safe and permenant home, the judge will rely on the CASA Volunteers extra set of eyes and ears as they visit the child, the foster home, the child's school and work with Law Guardians and other officials working in the best interest of the child. CASA of Ocean County currently has 30 program volunteers, a Board of Directors, 4 part time staff members and is a part of a National and Statewide CASA program to be the "Voice of a Child".
