The first Paul G. Ward Jr. Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Robert McClellan, Jr. yesterday morning by Mr Ward's widow, Nicole Ward, at the Annual Bedford Schools Foundation Scholarship Breakfast. Other 2017 Foundation scholarship award winners were Justin Satchel, Lauren Morgan, Robin Sims and Shemar Brooks (Chris Valley Memorial Scholarship). These students each received a $1,000 scholarship, renewable for three additional years through college. (Bedford Schools Foundation Scholarship Chairperson Wendy Grant is pictured with Robert and Mrs. Ward.)
