Ed and Sharon Hoveln founded Hoveln Heating and Cooling, Inc. in 1977, with 12 years of experience in management and sales in the HVAC industry. After working out of their home for many years, in 1996 the business was moved to an 8,000 square foot building in Thomasboro which is our present location today.
Jeff and Shari Hoveln purchased the business December 31, 2008 from Ed and Sharon. Jeff attended ITT Technical Institute and received a degree in heating and refrigeration in 1985, and has worked in the business ever since. He is a licensed plumber, NATE certified technician, and a healthy air specialist. Jeff is also a board member for the St. Joseph Grade and Middle School District, and follows his kids to various sporting activities throughout the year. Before working here full time in 1998, Shari graduated from Illinois State University and worked for a local credit union and accounting firm. She has 20 plus years experience in accounting and finance and also volunteers for various community activities. They are the proud parents of three children.
Our goal today is the same as it has always been: to offer quality service and installation at reasonable prices and to exceed our customer’s expectations. Our satisfied customers are our best sales people. We have more than 100 years of combined heating, air conditioning, and plumbing experience. We are a Factory Authorized Dealer for Bryant HVAC equipment and a Geo-Pro Dealer for WaterFurnace geothermal equipment. We service conventional gas furnaces and air conditioners, steam and hot water heat, oil heating, provide duct cleaning, help improve indoor air quality and design our own duct systems. We have installed over 1100 geothermal units over the last 37 years and offer Nu-Wool cellulose insulation to our customers because of the energy efficiency it provides.
We have State of Illinois licensed plumbers on staff for service and installation. We also install Rinnai and Navien tankless water heaters and can handle just about any plumbing issue you might have.
We continue to strive for quality and cleanliness on the job. Our employees are well qualified to handle service of many different types of heating, air conditioning and plumbing systems. They frequently attend continuing education seminars to keep abreast of the ever-changing industry.
