Project SHARE is an interfaith cooperative effort, begun in 1984, involving more than 66 local congregations, schools and civic organizations. Contributions of food, clothing, money and volunteersim provide basic assistance to more than 1100 families each month.
Assistance is provided in the communities of Carlisle, Carlisle Springs, Mt. Holly Springs, Boiling Springs, Gardners, Plainfield, New Kingston and Middlesex. Of those needing assistance, 10% are seniors and 40% are children. To be eligible, individuals must have an income below 150% of the federal poverty level.
