Our final academic and career shoutout goes to rising Junior Allegra Kahn. Allegra is majoring in International Studies in the University of Washington’s Jackson School. With dreams of working in the political sphere, Allegra has already gained experience on campus and around the country. Allegra was a paid employee of The Associated Students of the University of Washington and worked as a lobbyist in the state capital working to communicate UW’s needs to the government. In that job, she also promoted many events on campus helping students become more politically aware. She also had an internship in Washington DC working in a congressional office learning about all of the intricacies of national government. This summer, she worked with Planned Parenthood on a campaign fellowship in Seattle. This upcoming year, Allegra will be an exchange student at University College London going to class in an extremely prestigious and competitive program. We’ll miss her, but can’t wait to hear all about her experience fusing American and English culture.
