Jerry Schnute worked for Detroit Edison for nearly 40 years. He spent his entire Edison career maintaining the relay systems that protect the electrical grid throughout southeastern Michigan. In 1997, Detroit Edison offered him an early retirement. He saw that as an opportunity to do something he'd wanted to do for years. And so, together with his sons - Scott and Steve - a company was born. And 18 years later, Tristar has established itself as a reliable electrical contractor committed to delivering the best value and service to its customers.
