To mark its 120th anniversary, The Forward is launching a new print magazine focusing on long-form news analysis and features inspired by the Jewish-American experience. If its growing audience of over a million monthly viewers is any indication, the future is bright for The Forward. Congratulations on celebrating 120 years, and here’s to the next 120!

Smart business owners understand that a company’s success ultimately lies in its talent, and companies that invest in their employees can be assured greater sustainability and long-term growth. As members of the Human Capital Management Coalition, we joined 24 other institutional investors to submit a petition last week to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that calls for increased reporting from companies of their human capital management policies, practices and performance (which, as of now, only requires companies to disclose an employee headcount). In doing so, not only will we allow other shareholders to better assess how well the companies in which they invest are positioning their talent for success, but we also hope to cultivate a happier, more productive and empowered workforce.

Today Maura Keaney from our business development team attended the Young Women Run: Run with Ignite National & Running Start event in Washington, D.C., a two-day training and networking session for politically ambitious young women who have their sights set on office. At the event, Maura offered future politicos tips on how to avoid some of the common financial pitfalls of first-time campaigners and successfully manage their money while on the campaign trail. We’re happy to join forces with 250 women who are working to foster the next generation of political leaders by providing them the tools for a successful campaign journey.
