As Orange County continues to grow and develop, each day brings new challenges to protecting and preserving our local environment. California’s harbors, beaches and waterways are polluted from urban runoff and other sources raising health concerns for swimmers, fishermen and native habitats.
Orange County Coastkeeper is a non profit organization created in response to these increasing water concerns in Southern California. Orange County Coastkeeper has a very successful history of collaborating with industry and regulatory agencies advocating reasonable solutions to water pollution. Coastkeeper has conducted extensive scientific research projects, developed actual solutions with measureable results, restored habitats, and educated thousands of people on sustainable solutions.
