The Honesdale Dance Studio is located on Main Street in Honesdale. The studio was founded in 2000 by owner, teacher, and Director Joann Florance. Joann has studied with many elite teachers in New York City such as Phil Black, Frank Hatchet, Sheila Barker, Chio, Kat Wildish, Finis Jhung and many others, and still continues to take classes to stay up-to-date on new techniques and styles. We also have other qualified teachers such as Lynne Mariani who danced with Bob Fosse, and guest teachers from such renowned institutions as The Joffrey Ballet Company.
We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop. We accept ages 3 and up, and dancers are separated based upon age and ability at the Director and Teacher's discretion.
