Since 1979 Rel-Tek has pioneered in the development and manufacture of low maintenance, intrinsically safe equipment, especially for the mining and bus maintenance facilities where hazardous toxic and combustible gas concentrations can accumulate. There are over 100 approvals (MSHA, CANMET, NYC-MEA, and UL standards) covering Rel-Tek environmental sensors and accessories. Rel-Tek is the major supplier of gas monitoring systems to the alternative fuels (CNG, LNG and LPG) industry, principally transit bus and DOT road vehicle maintenance garages, where systems can range up to 253 per site (NJ Transit). Other applications of Rel-Tek modular and adaptable systems include petrochemical, agricultural, water treatment, tunnels, energy, building management, HVAC, etc. Automatic sensor calibration is a unique benefit to Rel-Tek clients, cutting on-going maintenance cost substantially. By engineering, manufacturing and servicing all system components in house - including telemetry and software; there is never any finger pointing to third party suppliers if something goes wrong.
