The Chamber was incorporated on June 20, 1990 as a Texas non-profit corporation and has been qualified as a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Chamber has the dual purpose of promoting trade between Houston and Asia and to foster economic development in the Houston area Asian-American communities.
