Normally, I would not have ever paid to fish, but we were there and didn't want to go through the hassle of getting a Wisconsin fishing license, so we decided to try this route. Boy was I wrong!! First off you must pay $6.50 to fish, and then they price based on the number of inches the fish has. The prices can range from $.29 an inch to $1.99 an inch. They don't tell you however that the ponds are connected, and the $1.99 fish can end up in the $.29 pond. We caught 13 trout in a matter of minutes, and ended up walking out of there owing $200.00. They supposedly had the ponds divided up between small, medium, large, and jumbo, however my jumbo was smaller than any other of my fish, but i still had to pay $1.99 for it. I knew things were going south, when one of the guys told me that I qualified for there special of two free t-shirts, and two trout steaks, the other one snickered as if he had screwed yet another weary unexpecting traveler...I tried to negotiate, and even tried to get them to throw in a free cleaning, by the way was $.99 per fish, but the toothless guy was not having none of that. I asked to speak to the owner but was told he was not on property, and even asked him to call the owner, but he refused to do so. I threatened to just leave and not pay, but he threatened to call the police. I felt taken advantage of lied to and duped. I read the reviews afterward, and there are many who feel the same way, which is why I decided to create this page. So Stay away from this place, and help me try to shut it down for their unethical behaviors!!!

Beaver Springs may have been nice 50 years ago, but it is a run down property that had several ponds, but mostly looked like ditches filled with water, and tons of fish stocked. If you've ever seen the movie Wrong Turn, then you understand the vibe as I drove onto this property. I even backed into a parking space, so if things went south I would be able to escape. At first glance the two guys working were nice and very hospitable, but that is all part of the bait and switch effort to real you in. They offer horse back riding, fishing, as well as fish aquarium museum.
