We are a Christian church located on Cincinnati's Eastside.

What Can You Expect at our Sunday Worship Services?

A casual atmosphere.
- We believe in the “come-as-you-are” approach to church. We try not to take ourselves too seriously! Expect plenty of smiles and a warm greeting. When you come in someone will give you a bulletin. The bulletin contains information about our church, a lesson outline and an information sheet you can fill out if you wish. Grab a cup of coffee from our coffee room and bring it with you into the main sanctuary.

Music led by a great band.
- Our worship band plays a wide variety of Positive Christian Alternative Music. Song types range from Casting Crowns to Chris Tomlin to Third Day, and even include some written by our band members themselves.

Prayer
-We believe in prayer at Mt. Carmel Christian. One of our leaders will lead the congregation in prayer at various points during the service.

Communion
-Midway through the service we take communion. Our worship leader will invite all who would like to participate to come forward. At Mt. Carmel we get out of our seats and serve ourselves. Communion involves taking bread (a small wafer), which represents the body of Jesus that was broken on the cross for all mankind. And the drinking of grape juice (in a small cup) that represents the blood of Jesus spilled on the cross. We take communion every week.

Offering
-After communion we take up offering. While the band plays another song, plates will be handed down the rows. We do not pressure anybody to give.

A Bible lesson that is straightforward, “down to earth,” and relevant to life.

After the offering is the time we set aside to listen to a message from the Bible. This lesson is usually presented by our Sr. Pastor. You can fill in blanks on the message outline. Expect video clips, skits, people sharing their stories, and any other fun activities we can think of that help communicate our bible lesson. The sermons are life applicable and intended to be useful in knowing what God wants you to do.
