Artwell
Artwell is a not-for-profit community arts organization serving Northwest Connecticut, USA and beyond. Founded in 1995 by director Stewart Wilson, Artwell has steadily grown and evolved into a major cultural force, enriching the lives of the people who participate in the many exhibitions, performances, and special events held throughout the year. Artwell’s downtown Torrington, Connecticut location serves as a geographic hub for the rich cultural diversity and creative spirit of the people from the region. We strive to provide an open forum for all people to be able to express themselves and share their creativity, meet their neighbors and experience the wonderful talents of the artistic community. The shared philosophy of Artwell’s volunteer staff is summed up in Artwell’s motto ART FOR ALL. Artwell is fortunate to be supporting its programs through the generous donations and volunteer spirit of its members, the business community, and foundation grants.
