Our goal is to make our official Facebook page a place where people can learn about what’s going on in our schools, get updates on things like weather-related schedule changes and connect with the VPS community. To help this happen, we have established the following guidelines:
1. Keep comments appropriate. Please use civility and respect when commenting on posts. Practice good digital citizenship. Say only things that you would feel comfortable saying face-to-face in public. Harassing, discriminatory, explicit, offensive, inappropriate or threatening language will not be tolerated.
2. Don’t advertise. The VPS Facebook page is not the place to promote products or services. If you represent a company that would like to learn more about the district’s purchasing practices, please contact our purchasing department.
Failure to follow the above guidelines may result in comments being deleted and/or a user being banned from the page.
Per public records laws, comments on the VPS Facebook page and messages could be included in a public records request.
Questions and comments If you have a school- or district-related question or issue that needs to be resolved, please: • Follow our procedure for voicing concerns and begin by contacting the school directly if your question or issue is specific to that school. • Call 360-313-1000 or send a message to the district office at if your request is not related to a specific school.
