Our services are defined by the forgiveness of sins. We confess our sins and hear from the pastor that God has forgiven them. We hear the Law and Gospel, we partake of the Lord's Supper, and we rejoice in baptism. All of these are done with the forgiveness Jesus attained for us on the cross in mind. We are then led out into the community to serve as the Holy Spirit works through us. We are more than a are a collection of God's children, called by grace and mercy, who are compelled to serve.
