"Asbury Men...Passing the Mantle"...the annual Prayer Breakfast did not disappoint. As usual, it's the details and the little things that make these moments special. This year, the breakfast was in honor of Brother Thomas Williams, Chaplin. The food for the physical body was a delight - bacon, eggs, hash browns, biscuits, grits....not bad for a cool Saturday morning. The spiritual feast was prepared and delivered by Rev. Dr. Guy A. Williams, Sr., Pastor, Covenant Community Baptist Church, Silver Spring, Md. Scripture for the weekend: 2 Kings 2:1-18. Elijah. Elisha. The passing of the mantle. What does Passing the mantle look like? The UMM showed us...engagement from the youth and young adults.
