How it all works:


A customer receives a percentage of the value the pawn broker believe the collateral would bring in a sale. The loan to collateral ratio varies from item to item; for example a vintage guitar will not depreciate in value so we can give top dollar for it, but something like a computer that might value $1000 today will depreciate after 4 month period, as computer technology becomes newer and more sophisticated nearly every month, so pawn shop will offer a lower amount for a "loan" but higher sum for a "buy" as we can resell it faster. Gold/jewelry on the other hand is always a preferred collateral as takes up very little space and can be easily sold, either retail or to a jewelry makers.


When a customer pawns an item, terms of the loan are printed on a pawn ticket that is given to the customer. the ticket states the customers name, address, type of identification provided to the pawnbroker, a description of the item, amount lent, maturity date, interest rate (regulated by state), and amounts that must be paid to redeem the item. If the customer defaults, the collateral becomes the property of the pawnshop after the loan is overdue by 4 month. After 4 month period our pawn shop mail a registered mail to the address provided by customer to notify that their loan(s) is due, and they have 10 days before it will be foreclosed.


Qwik Pawn lends money on items of value ranging from gold and diamond jewelry to musical instruments, TVs, tools, household items, computers, even cars and boats. Loans ranging from $10 to as high as several thousand dollars depending on the value of the collateral.
