Sims Plastics Inc

Sylvistia (known by many as Sylvester) and Annie Sims founded Sims Plastics. Annie and Sylvester first opened Alco in 1979, in a 10 X 20 building located in Gardendale Texas. Annie worked the store while Sylvester worked for Olsen Engineering during the day and worked on irrigation designs at night.
In 1980 they moved to a larger facility and Sylvester resigned from Olsen and joined Annie in making Alco into a successful irrigation business.
In 1982 the business was incorporated and renamed Sims Services Inc.

In 1986 they bought Parker Plastics. This expansion caused them to grow not only in size but in new product lines. In 1988 the business was moved to Odessa Texas to its current location. At that time the company employed three people. In 1992 Sims Services, Inc. bought Midland Plastics and opened a branch in Midland Texas. In 1995 Annie and Sylvester’s grandson, Glynn Braudaway, joined the company. Sylvester Sims passed away on Christmas Day 1996 after a long battle with Leukemia. To those who knew him, worked with him and did business with him, Sylvester was a good and honest man.
In 1998 the company name was changed from Sims Services, Inc. to Sims Plastics, Inc.
In 2002 Sims Plastics, Inc. opened another branch in Waco Texas and named it Sims Plastics of Waco.
Today Sims Plastics is well known for irrigation, oilfield, septic, and municipal products. Sims Plastics employs 20 people. Annie Sims serves as Owner of the company.
Glynn Braudaway serves as President. It is his desire to have continued success in maintaining Sims Plastics as one of the most successful plastic supply companies in the surrounding area. Glynn intends to follow in the footsteps of his grandparents in running Sims Plastics in the manner in which his grandparents set when they first began; with honesty and integrity.
