Holy Spirit Parish was formed from two former parishes, St. John the Baptist and Holy Rosary. St. John, the second oldest parish in the Lincoln Diocese, was established 150 years ago. The first church was consecrated in June 1863. The parish intends officially commemorated this anniversary of the 150 years of continuous presence of the Catholic faith in the Plattsmouth community on Sunday, May 26, 2013.
