Since 1969 the Charlotte County Family YMCA has been providing programs and services to the Charlotte County Area and the City of North Port. Our programs include childcare for infants through 13 years of age, aquatic instruction for all ages, fitness/wellness opportunities for all ages, youth sports that includes soccer, t-ball, flag football and basketball, summer day camps and many more programs and events.
Our YMCA is for everyone and that includes those who need financial assistance to participate in our youth programs. Through the United Way of Charlotte County, United Way of South Sarasota County and our own Community Kids Campaign provide assistance to those in need. Through our Endowment Program that is supported by those who have made a long term financial gift to our YMCA our branches are able to apply for grants for new programs and new equipment. Those who have made this long term commitment are members of our Heritage Club.
Our YMCA is made up of many partnerships throughout the community that include Charlotte County Government, Charlotte County Public Schools, City of North Port, Sarasota County Parks and Recreation and with Bayfront Health Medical Center.
