It all began in the decade of the 70s when farmers everywhere began to see a tightening in profit margins. There was a need for farmers to make a shift to new and better business practices. One of the visionaries of that time was Lester Rovey. In 1972, Rovey Seed Company began operation in Farmersville, Illinois, with Lester Rovey at the helm.
Since that time, the Rovey Seed Company has grown to become a trusted source of the highest quality food grains and seeds -- white corn, yellow corn and soybeans. The sons of Lester Rovey now provide the visionary leadership that continues to guide Rovey Seed today.
