Labiche Architectural Group Inc

The LaBiche Architectural Group, Inc., was formed in 2000 and is a continuation of an architectural practice founded in Beaumont by Frederick William Steinman in 1901 and continued by his grandson Douglas E. Steinman, Jr.

Through the years the predecessor firms designed many of Beaumont's landmarks including City Hall, the Edson Hotel, the old First Methodist Church, and the City Library. In 2000, just before Doug's death, Dohn H. LaBiche, AIA purchased the firm after working for Mr. Steinman for 14 years. The Steinman name for quality buildings and client satisfaction continues in this young and talented firm.
The company has made a conscious decision to limit the growth of the firm to a size that can give the kind of personalized service that has made it successful over the years. Instead of growth in size, The LaBiche architectural Group, Inc. has concentrated its management efforts on making the existing firm more efficient and responsive to the client's needs.

In 1985, the firm became the first architectural firm in Beaumont, Texas, to totally implement Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) into the production of all construction documents and we continue to employ the most up-to-date technology available. The firm currently operates five workstations, which utilize state-of-the-art hardware and software, adding to the accuracy and consistency of construction documents.

Our past experience has given our staff the ability to interpret the needs and desires of multi-disciplined clients. We have been designing facilities for persons with physical impairment for many years, therefore, the principles enunciated in the ADA regulations have long been standard design criteria in our office. Because of our familiarity with these principles, our services have been required by a considerable number of institutions for their compliance renovations.
