In 1940, Max Landsberg, DVM came to Enid, OK to practice veterinary medicine. Working out of a hotel room and the trunk of his car, Dr. Landsberg paved the way for what would one day become Wheatland Animal Clinic. Over the years Dr. Landsberg was joined by Drs. Jerry Weinand, Stephen Chambers, and Joel Lenz to become Landsberg-Weinand-Chambers-Lenz Veterinary Clinic. In 1983, a new facility was built west of town and the named was changed to Wheatland Animal Clinic. Wheatland Animal Clinic continued as a mixed animal practice until 2006 when it became a full service companion animal hospital.
