Merchant Excavating, Inc. was founded in 1987 by David Merchant under the name Dave Merchant Excavating. In 2004 the name was changed to Merchant Excavating Inc. when Ed Taylor joined and expanded their services.
Merchant Excavating, Inc. is owned and operated by Dave Merchant and Ed Taylor. They do excavating work for residential, commercial, and industrial companies, as well as the trucking needs of local agricultural farmers and companies.
For residential customers, we offer services such as certified installation of septic systems, basement installation excavation, housing foundations work, installation of sewer and water lines, support for new well installations, and the maintenance, repair, and replacement of water lines.
For commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers we offer storm water and sanitary water retention, footings and foundation excavation, retention basins, and manure hauling and application. We also do snow plowing.
