The Roger Bacon Academy is an educational management organization providing administrative support and educational programs for tuition-free public charter schools.
The Roger Bacon Academy provides a classical education program that espouses the traditional values of western civilization and includes Cursive, Latin, and Grammar coursework. The robust classical curriculum is delivered with the engaging and proven Direct Instruction teaching method.
The Roger Bacon Academy currently serves four public charter schools in southeastern NC: Charter Day School in Leland, Columbus Charter School in Whiteville, Douglass Academy in Wilmington, and South Brunswick Charter School in Southport.
All four campuses are public, tuition-free, and welcome any student regardless of income or ability. The schools' annual enrollment period runs the month of January. For more information, please visit
