Firefly built in the early 1930's as a 9 hole course is Clare County's oldest golf course. Expanded to 18 holes in 1992 by the current owners, it became one of the most in demand courses in the area. With water on 13 holes, exacting greens and bluegrass fairways built through gently rolling woodlands make Firefly a challenge whatever your handicap. Flocks of turkeys, blue heron, white tail deer and occasional sightings of Snappy the pre-historic looking snapping turtle only add to your pleasurable round. Stop at the Brassie Lounge on the turn for a sandwich and drink or pick up a 6 pack or a BAG OF BOOZE for the back 9.
