The theatre opened in 1935, has operated as a movie theatre for all of that time; also it has become a great venue for concerts, live theatre,and community meetings. Local drama groups have rehearsed and put on their own plays here, we have had old-time vaudeville theatre and burlesque shows here, and big name bands, and musicians such as Third World, George Winston, and the Gospel Hummingbirds have played here on our stage.
