Loving Food resources started in Asheville, North Carolina by three individuals in 1991 to address the food insecurity issues people living with HIV/AIDS faced. Loving Food Resources in 1996 expanded its services to any person receiving Home Hospice care regardless of diagnosis. Loving Food Resources is the only "self select" food pantry addressing the issue of food security or hunger in the HIV/AIDS or Home Hospice care communities in Western North Carolina.
Loving Food Resources continues to do this work as a 100% volunteer non-profit organization.
