Building Inspector Chris Temple has inspected thousands of buildings. His experience includes homes, estates, multi-unit residences, and commercial properties. In addition to small and individual units, he has inspected apartment complexes with over 150 units and commercial properties of over 100,000 square feet.
Chris became interested in property conditions and building methods when he took his first construction job as a laborer in the early 1980’s. He spent the next 15 years as a carpenter and tradesman building custom homes, tract homes, and commercial buildings.
Chris’s construction experience includes concrete masonry and foundation work, building framing, finish carpentry and cabinetry, electrical, roofing, decking, stairs, and railing construction, and more. This experience allows him to understand what he sees and explain the recommended remedies.
Chris has served as President, Vice President, Education Secretary, and Secretary of the San Luis Obispo chapter of the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA). Chris is also a two time recipient of the San Luis Obispo chapter “President’s Award” for his “outstanding contribution of time and support” to the chapter.
