CFHI is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, founded by Evaleen Jones, MD while she was a medical student at Stanford University School of Medicine. After spending several months in rural and underserved parts of Ecuador she realized the unique value of this life transforming experience and wanted it to be available for all students interested in becoming health professionals. CFHI has since grown and now offers 30+ programs in Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, Tanzania, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, India and the Philippines.
